The “Antico Binario” B&B is situated on the plateau of Asiago and its 7 Comunes, in the village Canove of Roana, 2 kms from the centre of Asiago, which is easily accessible on foot or by bike along the old train track which originally came up from the plains, via Canove to Asiago, and was dismantled in the 1950s. Our B&B gets its name from this line which translated means “the old train line”. The track-bed has remained in use and is ideal for cycling and walking in a natural surrounding. Along the track you can still find the original tunnels and it’s easy to imagine the old train puffing up from the plains through woods and hamlets. The B&B overlooks fields in the hollow of the plateau and is in an enviable position as it is central in respect to the village and offers most services within a radius of 200 metres, added to the typical tranquility of the area. The closest ski runs and horse riding stables are 5 minute drive away. The Altopiano of Asiago, rich in history, has an uncontaminated environment and is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year or for a brief getaway from the fast pace of city life and to get a breath of fresh mountain air at 1000 mt. Asiago is also well-known for its enormous Military Memorial from the 1st World War (ossuary and small museum inside), its beautiful shops and the Asiago airport renowed for gliding in the warmer months.
